Visibility of teams across your organization and sites
Which user management experience do you have?
Go to Atlassian Administration. Select your organization if you have more than one. You can identify which user management experience you have by checking where your Users page is located.
Centralized | Original |

In Atlassian Administration, Users is located in Directory. ![]() | In Atlassian Administration, Users is located in Apps > ![]() |
Who can see your Atlassian teams in your organization depends on which user management experience your organization has. Reach out to your organization admin if you need to know which user management experience your organization has.
Centralized user management content
Your teams are visible across your organization. Teams are associated with directories. As your organization has one directory, everyone in your organization can see all teams. What team information can users see?
Example: Olivia is a user in the Vitafleet organization. She can see Vitafleet Marketing Team
and Vitafleet Digital Delivery Team
because the Vitafleet organization has the centralized user management experience.
Original user management content
If your teams are visible across your organization, we’ll be changing this soon so they’re only visible within the site. We’ll reach out to organization admins before this happens.
We’re doing this so you can eventually use teams to grant permission to content.
Your teams are only visible in the site they were created in. Teams are associated with directories. As your organization has a separate directory per site, users can only see teams in their site. What team information can users see?
Example: The Prosperify organization has the original user management experience. Olivia is a user in the prosperity-apac
site, so she can see the Prosperify APAC Team
. She can’t see the Prosperify Americas Team
, because she’s not a user in the prosperify-americas
site.
